Andrew just finished a week of swimming lessons last week. Having enrolled him in traditional swimming lessons before, where there are usually 6 kids and 1 teacher and the kids spent the majority of the lesson time on the side of the pool, waiting for their turn, I liked his latest class much better. Andrew was the only student for the entire lesson, and was taught by a darling little gal (who just happens to be a certified lifeguard/swimming instructor) in her family's home pool not even five minutes from my house. They were only slightly more expensive than the lessons he has had before-$35 vs. $28 and he learned a lot more having the one on one attention from the teacher. I lucked into learning about the lessons because the teacher is the older sister one of my students from last year, and his mom just happened to mention in casual conversation that her daughter taught several sessions of swimming lessons during the summer. She was very patient, Andrew had a great time, and his little fishy skills are coming along quite nicely.

That's awesome that you were able to find such great private lessons. It's always been an issue to find good lessons for Ari where there weren't too many kids in the class, but that didn't cost an arm and a leg.
